What is Plusnet mailbox?

For each email address you have, you need to have a separate inbox. That email address with its own inbox is called a mailbox. It’s easy to have a separate mailbox if someone in your family has their own email address on your account. Aliases and redirects may vary slightly, read the guide below for more information.

You may also have more than one mailbox and each must have its own username and password. If you want to add another mailbox – another email address with its own inbox – you can mail it by going to Manage My Mail, clicking on the mailboxes and then clicking the red button to add a new mailbox.

When you add an additional mailbox, you’ll need to choose a new name to use the email address and the new password. So if you choose Robert, keep your email address robert@smith.plus.com.

The name you choose will be part of your mailbox username. Mailbox username looks like this: username + mailbox name. When you first add an additional mailbox, you will receive an email confirming your username.

When you’re all set up, you need to sign in to your new mailbox using your email application (such as Outlook) on your computer, your smartphone or webmail.
